Are You Ready Yet?
I am spending time with my family over the July 4th weekend. Today, we went to Northpoint Community Church where my brother and his family regularly attend. As we were driving home I started to really draw a lot of parallels with the work we do as digital marketers and the message this morning.
I’m a firm believer that to be successful in this space, you’ve got to create value for others. If you’ve been trying to get in the space for long, you already know this. So why are so many of us still ‘playing business’ on the sidelines, while others are out there crushing in ways we only dream of.
I never feel ready.
So as we’re driving, I had this realization that nobody’s ever ready for this. The thing is, just because you’re not ready doesn’t mean people aren’t ready (or in desperate need) of what you have to give. Russell Brunson often talks about everyone having super powers, and you need to find out what that is and bring that to the world. I think that’s so true.
It’s so easy to get caught in the same trap I’ve been in for so long. I just need this one more thing to be able to really make a go of this. One more course, one more book, one more… excuse.
The thing is, you can develop other super powers over time, but you’ve already got a super power that people in the world need. You’re robbing the world of a wonderful gift if you’re keeping it in. I don’t think most of us feel like we’re the right person for the job, but I want to challenge you to stop being so selfish with your outlook and start thinking from the perspective of those you can help.

The World Needs You Now, As You Are.
As you may have noticed.. this is my first post. This really struck a chord with me today and I decided it’s time. I don’t feel like I know what my super power is, but that’s okay. Sometimes the things we’re best at are the things that come so naturally to us we don’t even notice them.
So put yourself out there. Make yourself available to the world.
